Compassion Fatigue Counselor for professionals working with laboratory animals
Anneke Keizer is co-owner and founder of Cope+. In the course of a diverse 36-year career in all aspect of Laboratory Animal Science, she has proven to be a skilled manager with a deep understanding of the needs and problems laboratory animal professionals face each day. Prior to starting her own Compassion Fatigue Counseling bureau, Anneke was associate director of Laboratory Animal Resources at Princeton University, USA, responsible for daily operations of the animal facility in the department of psychology. Earlier in her career, Anneke was associate director, Laboratory Animal Resources at Merck & Co. Inc., USA, where she developed administrative, managerial and training skills. Additionally, she has long-term experience in animal care facility management and labor relations.

Anneke Keizer has a Bachelor degree in Laboratory Animal Science and a Master degree in Business Administration (MBA). She is also LATG certified and an ILAM graduate.

Office Manager and Coordinator
Jaap Verbeek, co-owner and founder of Cope+, has extensive experience as a general practitioner and as a pharmaceutical physician. He started his career in family practice, Netherlands, followed by 30+ years in the pharmaceutical industry, including (management) positions in clinical research and regulatory affairs at Servier and Merck Sharp & Dohme, Netherlands, and at Merck & Co. Inc., USA.

Jaap Verbeek has a medical degree and completed the six-sigma black belt training.
