Copeplus’ sustainable compassion fatigue support program is suitable and customized for your facility. The support program includes, but is not limited to:
Comprehensive Needs Assessment for Your Facility
A comprehensive needs assessment is a systematic process that includes meetings with all individuals in the animal facilities to identify and to address their needs concerning compassion fatigue. The results of the needs assessment become the bases for a support program.
Lectures for all laboratory animal professionals, including laboratory animal care staff, research team, administrative staff and IACUC members. The lecture includes topics such as ‘what is compassion fatigue’, ‘why self-care’ and the importance of implementing a support program. Customizations can be discussed.
Group discussions are an important aspect of group interactions. The creative and dynamic nature of these discussions stimulate reflective thinking among group members. The discussion, facilitated by our Compassion Fatigue Professional, is open to any issue put forward by the audience.
A one-on-one session is strictly confidential. Any person working with laboratory animals can speak directly with our Compassion Fatigue Professional without anyone else being involved.
Learn about the importance of self-care, an essential work survival skill. Self-care refers to activities and practices that we can use to reduce stress, and maintain and enhance our health and well-being. Self-care is necessary to be effective and successful in fulfilling your professional and personal commitments. Know why you should protect your leisure time.
